September 17, 2010: "How MSPs changed the channel and how you can evolve too" - Read Jim Hare's tips here as to how you can help the customers get in line -- and make a buck or two while doing that. The answer lies in providing a managed compliance service. "Why? Over the past decade we have seen a mind-numbing number of compliance regulations passed, as well as several industry driven regulations. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX), The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the recent update, The HITECH Act, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), FISMA, GLBA and many others.
Combined, these complex compliance regulations "throw dirt into the gears of business," as Gartner analyst John Bace remarked. They have become too complicated and too cost-prohibitive for small to midsize organizations to manage and comply on their own, especially smaller companies, which are also being forced to comply. While some of these compliance regulations were not being heavily enforced, lately there has been significant pressure by government and industry to add teeth to these rules via the levying of hefty fines. Some cases are reporting fines as high as $5,000 per day for each day of not meeting compliance!"
September 2010: Express Intelligent Enterprises: "GRC in the cloud makes sense" – Chandra Sekhar Bilugu, Chairman & Managing Director, eGestalt Technologies spoke about the cloud based model for GRC with Rajendra Chaudhary. However, it is not always possible to build one's own security practice since not everyone has the required internal resources or finances at his disposal. In such cases the appeal of an on-demand solution is undeniable"… Read more…

August 2, 2010, MSP Mentor: With security policy compliance a hot-button issue among the likes of Microsoft and Google, it's no surprise that technology companies are looking to help MSPs ease their standards-minded customers' minds. Enter eGestalt, which has launched their "managed compliance provider" partner program, designed to give MSPs a SaaS solution to ensure IT compliance — and give them a recurring revenue stream. Here's the scoop.
The eGestalt SecureGRC solution is at the heart of this new channel program. Rather than just do a network infrastructure audit and spot holes (though eGestalt says it does that too), SecureGRC enables administrators to automatically gather information, spot vulnerabilities, and enforce policies on an ongoing basis.
The client gets the peace of mind of knowing someone's always looking out to make sure they're not violating, say, HIPAA, whenever a new patch gets installed, says Jim Hare , VP of Worldwide Sales for eGestalt, and the MSP gets a new client and a new recurring revenue stream. And since SecureGRC is delivered through the cloud, Hare says it has a low enough TCO that SMBs would find it well within reach
July 29, 2010, DIOL Network, DQ Channels: eGestalt Technologies introduces SecureGRC, a cloud-based integrated IT Security and GRC solution, for smaller companies that do not necessarily have GRC expertise in-house, greatly reducing the time for deployment and at a very affordable cost.
July 19, 2010, India Infoline Limited (IIFL) News Service: KSRTC to introduce ITS in transport services in Mysore.
The project is funded by The World Bank and the consultants to this project, eGestalt Technologies, have been the forerunners in a number of innovative segments in Transport, health, Government, SEZs, Information Security etc. KSRTC is all set to introduce Intelligent Transport System (ITS) in Mysore in its local transport services.
Intelligent Transport System (ITS) solution provides for a dynamic passenger information system available on public displays in bus stops, bus terminals and even on the internet. One could plan to take a bus knowing in advance the exact time that the bus would arrive at the bus stand, the availability of seats, and the time it would take to reach the destination
July 17, 2010, The Free Library / InMysore.com / Mysoretrendz.com: Mysore City to get smart buses – the first in the country. Will I get a bus now? How long will I have to wait? At which stop will I get a connecting bus? Will there be a seat for me on the bus? Is the bus arriving at my stop an AC or non-AC? What is the fare? What route will this bus take? Will I know the time of arrival of my stop?
All this will be a thing of the past when KSRTC introduces the Intelligent Transport System by August next year. The Intelligent Transport System is based on Global Positioning System (GPS) enabled navigation systems. Each of the buses on different routes will be continuously tracked by a Central Control Station. Passenger Information system will be displayed on LCD screens in the buses, at bus stops and the bus terminals. They will inform the passenger of the expected time of arrival of the buses, where it is headed and the route it is going to take. In short the commuter, whether in the bus, the bus stop or the bus station will know to the minute when his or her bus is due to arrive, whether it is full and when the next bus is due etc.
July, 2010. Sify finance / Bignews.biz: KSRTC to try its hand at Intelligent Transport System. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is all set to introduce an Intelligent Transport System (ITS) in Mysore that could usher a new experience for those commuting in the heritage city. This is the first attempt at implementing ITS in India. The corporation plans to cover 500 buses, 105 bus stops, six bus terminals and 45 platforms in the city.

July 16, 2010, Network World: Gain the upper hand on governance and compliance with SaaS-based SecureGRC. At this writing, eGestalt's SaaS model is unique among GRC vendors. But eGestalt doesn't sell its subscriptions direct to customers; rather, the vendor works through managed service providers that implement the application and help the customer interpret the GRC gap reports. This is especially important for smaller companies that don't necessarily have GRC expertise in-house.
June 28, 2010, Information Week: Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre (RGCI), which treats about 30,000 patients every year, is undergoing a major transformation. Its shelves will now be empty and the office boy will have the leisure of sipping an extra cup of coffee.

TRANSCEND is an integrated programme for patient care and service delivery effectiveness across the hospital. While all clinical functions are already automated, other functions such as OPD and IPD activities, billing etc are set to become paperless in the next few months.
This will bring down the overall cost of patient care," says Sharath Hangal, Principal Consultant of eGestalt and RGCI Programme Manager. Technology services provider eGestalt Technologies has helped RGCI in rolling out this initiative.
